Mentorship Program

I offer a free six month mentorship program for people who identify as Black, BIPOC, and LGBTQIA+. I offer six 2-3 hour classes and cover the basic topics of photography, although this is based on what you’d like to learn. I am also a certified Special Ed teacher and have all my clearances. I have over 20 years experience in teaching and have been shooting since I was a kid. I offer classes to anyone age 8 and up (with parent participation and approval) to 99. After the first 6 months I offer an additional 6 months. I make myself available to check in and review your work. I can teach over ZOOM or in person. My experience is in self-directed learning and project based learning. As a special Ed teacher I am trained to cater to each student with an individual approach based on a student's learning style and their interest in photography. I will also provide digital and or film cameras for those join the program and are in financial need.

My program is FREE to working class people and anyone making $40,000 or less a year. My skill set lies in portraits, documentary, and street photography.
